So there is this girl i met in 9th grade, we became best friends, and kinda fell in love with each other that year. I didnt see her any over the summer, my only communication with her was on the phone and through myspace. 10th grade starts. everything is fine until she starts going out with this guy. i thought she liked me, but she said she had began to have feelings for someone else. we were still best friends, but i was very hurt and depressed. after 7 months she breaks up with the guy because he was spreading sexual rumours around about her. after about a month, i ask her out. she says she doesnt know. all this last ssummer we went out everywhere together, and every few weeks i would ask her out, and i would get the same answer. i told her not to lie about how she feels, if she doesnt like me like that we could continue to be best friends, but she wont give me a straight answer. why? our 11th grade year has been in session for a month. do i give up on her? i really like her.

She's confused of having the same sick experience...comfort her and give her attention..but if she doesn't ans to it,den ask her for a last time or else..move on..its not like u r dead.

hmm i say hang in there for a bit longer, show her that you really care and don't hold back, maybe she'll find something in you that she can't find in any other guys?. good luck

Obviously she did have some feelings for you but you have to remember that when you start high school there are new people and you experience new things and different feelings. Did she admit to you she has feelings? Or did you just assume?

OK now to the point, they are over each other and now she is single which is good news. You need to give her time and let her know you care but since she has shrugged you off so many times I would just be "best friends" until one of you are ready or you move on.
